Un avion en papier

Roger Angell est né en 1920. Il a publié son premier texte dans The New Yorker en 1944. Il y collabore toujours, à 95 ans, notamment au blogue du magazine. Pourquoi le blogue ? Il s’en explique à David Remnick dans la septième livraison de la baladodiffusion The New Yorker Radio Hour (à partir de la 31e minute).

It’s sort of like making a paper airplane. […] I used to love to make paper airplanes. I made great paper airplanes. You throw it out the window, and it takes, it goes a little ways, or it turns and curves beautifully, and it goes out of sight, and it’s forgotten forever. And that’s like a blog.

Certains disent que toute publication est une bouteille à la mer, pas Angell, qui préfère le vol imprévisible de l’avion en papier et sa disparition (son oubli).
